Elise is a strong supporter of protecting Social Security and Medicare to make sure that our seniors have the resources and care that they need. Our district has many seniors for whom that monthly budget is critical to make ends meet, and Elise is committed to ensuring that everyone who has paid into Social Security receives the benefits that they have earned.
She believes that we need legislative action to ensure that these programs are available for our children while guaranteeing no changes in Social Security for anyone over the age of 50.
- Elise recently sent a letter urging the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to increase access to new Medicare benefits for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease, and she has co-sponsored several bills to make Medicare and Social Security more accessible.
Additionally, Elise’s office has recovered over $2.8 million in Social Security benefits for her constituents. Her district office staff works around the clock assisting with constituent casework and providing assistance in dealing with the Social Security Administration.
