Elise has opposed New York State’s dangerous bail reform laws that eliminated cash bail and expanded pretrial release for various misdemeanor and felony charges.
- She helped introduce the SERVE Our Communities Act to incentivize states like New York to adopt policies that hold repeat offenders accountable and increase public safety.
- Elise has also displayed steadfast support for New York’s corrections officers at a time when violence in prisons has skyrocketed.
- Following disgraced former Governor Andrew Cuomo’s displacing of correctional officers from Watertown to Ogdensburg, Elise stood with our brave corrections officers against the decision.
- She continues to stand with and fight for the more than hundreds of corrections officers and families as Governor Hochul orders the closures of Ogdensburg and Moriah Shock Incarceration Correctional Facilities.
- Elise has earned the support of various law enforcement groups, including the New York State Police Investigators Association, Police Conference of New York, NY State Police PBA, The NYS Law Enforcement Officers Union, Sergeants Benevolent Association of the NYPD, Council 82, and the National Border Patrol Council.
